Founderwright for powersports, RV, and marine dealers

AI for powersports, RV, and marine dealers. Every unit earns its spot.

We connect your dealer management system, lead sources, floor plan statements, and books into one AI brain, then build the desk, service, and parts tools your store runs on. Everything above the compliance line is built in-house, around your units, your departments, and your gross.

Private-equity-grade tools. Without giving up equity. Built by an operationally minded CFO, not a software vendor.

Operator-CFO built

Not generic software. What a CFO would put in front of a dealership.

Founderwright is built by an operationally minded CFO. The numbers that grow a company organically are the same ones that make an acquisition work and hold up when you sell. Every build starts there: surfaced before you ask and ranked by dollar impact.

Absorption: how much fixed expense service and parts cover

It’s the number that decides whether the slow season hurts.

The same numbers carry a dealership through every stage: recovery, growth, acquisitions, and exit prep.

The morning brief

Surfaced before you ask. Ranked by what it’s worth.

Agents watch every connected system overnight. By morning, the issues that matter most are ranked, assigned, and drafted.

Voice notes that take action

Or just say it.

Between jobs, on the drive, or walking the floor: record a thought and the platform drafts the tasks, schedule changes, and answers. Nothing happens until you approve it. How voice notes work.

“Have Chris call the two overnight leads asking about trade values, move the pontoon rigging to Friday, and which units hit curtailment this month?”

  1. New task
Chris: call 2 overnight web leads · trade values requested
  2. Reschedule

  3. Answer

Sound familiar

The floor plan clock never stops.

Aged units eat the gross

A unit that sat through the season still carries interest, and then curtailments come due. By the time it sells, the floor plan has taken most of the front-end gross.

Leads wait until someone’s free

Web leads land overnight, phone ups go to whoever answers, and walk-ins leave with a brochure. Nobody can say which ones got a reply, or how fast.

Service can’t carry the store

Techs flag fewer hours than they clock, repair orders stall waiting on parts, and absorption falls well short of covering fixed expense in the slow months.

Trades sit in recon

Used units wait on a tech, a part, or a decision. Every week in recon is a week off the lot, while holding cost keeps adding to what you paid.

What we’d build

What we’d build for a dealership.

Each module is shaped by one conversation about how your store sells, finances, and services. It’s built in-house by Founderwright, owned by you, and runs on your real units, deals, repair orders, and parts from the start.

Owner’s command center

Units, gross, floor plan exposure, and absorption by store and department, with a short list of what needs a decision today and every figure tied to the unit or deal behind it.

Unit aging and floor plan

Every unit’s age, interest paid, and next curtailment in one view, with aged units flagged for a price move, a transfer, or a dealer trade before the next statement arrives.

Deal desk

Every open deal on one board with the trade, payment, and gross, so managers desk faster and you see which salespeople hold gross and which give it away.

F&I and back-end gross

Finance and product income per unit by manager and product, with penetration tracked on every deal, so you see what gets offered to each buyer and what gets skipped.

Lead response tracker

Web, phone, text, and walk-in traffic in one queue, with response time by salesperson and every lead followed through to a sale, a service visit, or a dead end.

Service and tech board

Repair orders, flagged and clocked hours, and parts holds for every tech, so efficiency and absorption are tracked daily and stalled work moves before the customer has to chase it.

Parts fill and stock

Fill rate, special orders, and obsolete stock by line, with each special order tied to the repair order or customer waiting on it and aging parts flagged for return.

Recon tracker

Every trade tracked from appraisal to front line, with days in recon, parts and labor spent against the appraisal, and a named owner for each unit that stalls.

The compliance line

We build above the line. We connect to everything else.

For dealers, the line sits under consumer financing and credit applications, title and registration, floor plan lender reporting, payroll, the books, and tax filings. The desk, the service drive, the parts counter, and the lot sit above it.

The compliance line

Below the line

The regulated systems you’re required to keep. We read from them, and where they offer a write API, approved work is written straight back in.

Keep any tool you like. We integrate with it. Most dealers keep their dealer management system, their manufacturer portals, and their website lead platform. We build the desk, the service board, and recon tracking around what stays. See the systems we connect.

The build

How we’d build it for a dealership.

The conversation

Walk the store with you

We sit down with you and follow a unit from delivery to the front line, a deal from first contact to funding, and a repair order from write-up to pickup. Then we ask which numbers run your weekly meeting.

Day 1

Connect your dealer system

Your dealer management system is connected, and the first command center is live on your real units, deals, repair orders, and parts. There’s nothing to export and nothing to rekey.

Weeks 1–3

Add floor plan, leads, and payroll

Floor plan statements, lead sources, payroll and time, and the books join the same brain, so unit aging, gross, and tech efficiency match the numbers your accountant closes on.

Then

Retire the manual workarounds

Above the compliance line, we build what your managers have been doing by hand: the desk log, the recon board, the aged-unit review. Each one replaces a spreadsheet or a subscription, and every one belongs to you.

The numbers it runs on

Your definitions. Measured the same way everywhere.

Every metric is defined with you once, tied back to the source systems, and checked by agents before anyone makes a decision on it.

Questions

What owners ask us.

Do we have to replace our dealer management system?

No. Keep any tool you like, and your dealer management system is the first thing we connect. It can stay right where it is while we build the desk, service board, and recon tools on top. If you decide later to retire something above the compliance line, we replace it with software built for how your store sells and services.

What stays below the compliance line for a dealership?

Consumer financing and credit application records, title and registration, floor plan lender reporting, payroll, your books of record, and tax filings. Those stay in the systems you’re required to keep, and we don’t replace them. We read from them, and where a system offers a write API, approved work is written straight back. A person approves each write, and each one is logged.

Can it handle multiple stores and product lines?

Yes. Each store and each line, from side-by-sides to pontoons to travel trailers, gets its own desk, service board, and aging view, and you compare them on one set of definitions. A unit transferred between stores keeps its full history, so aging and interest follow the unit rather than the location.

How do the agents work with our sales and service staff?

They spot what’s slipping and route it to the right person. When a lead goes an hour without a reply, an agent drafts a response and assigns it to a salesperson. When a sold unit’s floor plan is still open, it flags the payoff for the office. When a repair order stalls on parts, it tells the service writer. Nothing reaches a customer or a lender until someone approves it.

Who owns the software you build for us?

You do. The system is yours: the tools we build above the compliance line, the data in them, and the history of every unit and deal. Keep working with us to improve it, or run it on your own. There’s no lock-in, and nothing we build is licensed back to you by the seat.
