Founderwright for accounting firms

The operating layer behind your advisory practice. Live, reconciled, and client-owned.

Give every client a live, reconciled view of the business, from source systems to close-ready books, so your team spends its hours advising instead of rebuilding spreadsheets.

Why now

Capital is pouring into advisory. Client data still arrives as month-old exports.

From 2020 to mid-2025 there were 53 notable private-equity deals in U.S. accounting firms, with $29 billion invested. Source: NJCPA, July 2026

01

Advisory is where firms are investing.

Firms are funding higher-margin advisory work and the technology to deliver it at scale.

02

Client data is the bottleneck.

Every engagement starts by chasing exports, reconciling systems that don’t agree, and rebuilding the same workbook.

03

Founderwright is the operating layer.

Each client’s systems connect to one brain, reconciled continuously, so advice starts from numbers you can stand behind.

What your firm gets

Clean inputs, a finished close, and advice on live numbers.

Source data, reconciled

Clean inputs, continuously.

Bank, card, payroll, and operating systems reconciled every day, with exceptions routed to the person who can clear them.

Close-ready, every month

The close starts finished.

Close worklists, accrual support, and approved write-back to the client’s books of record, with every entry logged.

Advice you can stand behind

KPI packs on shared definitions.

Client dashboards where every figure traces to the transaction, so the conversation is about decisions, not data.

How we work with firms

Your client. Your relationship. Our build.

Three ways to work together. The firm keeps the client and leads the advice; each client owns the system built for it.

01 · Refer

Introduce a client.

Bring us a client who has outgrown their software. The firm keeps the engagement; we build and support the system. Referral terms are set per firm.

02 · Deliver together

Advise from live numbers.

Your advisors lead the monthly review from the client’s live, reconciled numbers. We build, connect, and maintain the system underneath.

03 · Firm-wide

One layer across the client base.

One set of definitions and roll-up reporting across the firm’s clients, with volume pricing and a named build team.

The compliance line

We never touch the ledger without approval.

The books of record, payroll, tax filings, and client trust accounts stay in the systems your firm supports. We read from them, and approved entries go back only where the system offers a write API.

Questions

What firms ask us.

Does this replace our clients’ accounting software?

No. The books of record stay in the systems your firm already supports. Founderwright connects to them, reconciles the source data flowing in, and posts approved entries back where the accounting system offers a write API. Every entry is approved by a person and logged.

Who owns the client relationship?

Your firm does. You bring the client, lead the advisory conversation, and keep the engagement. Founderwright builds and maintains the operating system underneath, and each client owns the system built for it.

How are client data and access handled?

Each client’s data sits in its own environment. Your team sees what the client grants it, access is set by role, and every write back into a client’s systems is approved and logged.

How do firms work with Founderwright commercially?

Three ways: refer a client, deliver together with your advisors leading the monthly review, or roll it out firm-wide with volume pricing and a named build team. Terms are set per firm.

Which clients is it a fit for?

Owner-led companies that have outgrown their software: several systems that don’t talk to each other, reporting rebuilt in spreadsheets every month, and an owner who wants to see the business in one place.

Start with one client.

Bring us the client whose monthly close takes the longest. We’ll show you what their business could run on.
