Founderwright for field service & trades

AI for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical companies. Built around how yours runs.

We connect your field service platform, phones, payroll, and books into one AI brain, then build the boards, scorecards, and agents your company actually needs. Everything above the compliance line is built in-house, around your trucks, your techs, and your numbers.

Private-equity-grade tools. Without giving up equity. Built by an operationally minded CFO, not a software vendor.

Operator-CFO built

Not generic software. What a CFO would put in front of a trades company.

Founderwright is built by an operationally minded CFO. The numbers that grow a company organically are the same ones that make an acquisition work and hold up when you sell. Every build starts there: surfaced before you ask and ranked by dollar impact.

You reprice the install before you sell ten more at a loss.

The same numbers carry a trades company through every stage: recovery, growth, acquisitions, and exit prep.

The morning brief

Surfaced before you ask. Ranked by what it’s worth.

Agents watch every connected system overnight. By morning, the issues that matter most are ranked, assigned, and drafted.

Voice notes that take action

Or just say it.

Between jobs, on the drive, or walking the floor: record a thought and the platform drafts the tasks, schedule changes, and answers. Nothing happens until you approve it. How voice notes work.

“Move the Hendricks install to Thursday, have Dana call the three open estimates over ten thousand, and how many callbacks did the north branch have this week?”

  1. Reschedule
Hendricks install → Thursday · crew and customer notified on approval
  2. New task
Dana: follow up on 3 open estimates over $10K · due today
  3. Answer
North branch callbacks this week: 7, up from 3 · 5 on two techs

Sound familiar

The busy season shouldn’t run on memory.

The board lives in one head

Your best dispatcher knows which tech fits which job. When they’re out, drive time climbs and the second call of the day runs late.

Estimates go quiet

Techs leave options on the kitchen table and nobody follows up. The work you already quoted is the cheapest revenue you’ll ever win.

Agreements renew by accident

Maintenance agreements are the steadiest revenue in the business, but renewals, tune-up visits, and member pricing live in three different places.

Job costing arrives a month late

By the time the books close you learn the install lost money. Parts, labor, and callbacks were never tied back to the job while it was open.

What we’d build

What we’d build for a field service company.

Every module is designed from one conversation with you, built in-house by Founderwright, and owned by you. They run on your real jobs, techs, customers and dollars from the first day.

Owner’s command center

Revenue, margin, cash, and booked capacity by trade and location, with the day’s issues ranked by dollars at risk and every number drilling down to the job.

Live dispatch board

Every tech, truck, and job on one board. Late arrivals, idle time, and parts holds surface before the customer calls to ask where you are.

Technician scorecards

Revenue per tech, average ticket, close rate, callbacks, and hours on the clock, tied to the work each tech actually completed.

Estimate follow-up

Every open option is tracked from the day it’s presented. Agents draft the follow-up, assign it to the right person and log the result.

Agreement tracker

Members, renewals, visits due, and agreement revenue in one place, with renewal outreach queued well before an agreement lapses.

Job costing, while it’s open

Parts, labor, drive time, and callbacks tied to each job as it happens, so margin by job type is known this week, not after close.

Cash and collections

Receivables by customer and builder account, deposits matched to jobs, and a collection draft ready for every invoice that goes past due.

Call and lead intelligence

Every call, form and referral tied to the job it became, so you see which sources book work and which only ring the phone.

The compliance line

We build above the line. We connect to everything else.

In the trades, the line usually sits under your books, payroll, and card processing. Everything your office and your techs touch day to day sits above it, and that’s where we build.

Above the line

Built custom, in-house by Founderwright, around how you run. Owned by you.

The compliance line

Below the line

The regulated systems you’re required to keep. We read from them, and where they offer a write API, approved work is written straight back in.

Keep any tool you like. We integrate with it. Trades companies often keep their field service platform, phone system, and customer financing. We build everything else around them. See the systems we connect.

The build

How we’d build it for a field service company.

The conversation

Map how the day runs

We sit down with you and walk the whole job, from the first call to the paid invoice: how you dispatch, what techs sell in the home, the numbers you check at night, and where work gets stuck.

Day 1

Connect the field platform

Your field service platform is connected and the first command center is live on your real jobs, techs, and invoices. No data entry, no migration.

Weeks 1–3

Bring in everything else

Phones and lead sources, payroll and time, card spend, and the books join the same brain, so job costing and cash run on the same numbers as the board.

Then

Build what you’re missing

Above the compliance line, we build the tools you’ve been working around, one at a time, and retire the subscriptions you no longer need. What we build is yours.

The numbers it runs on

Your definitions. Measured the same way everywhere.

Every metric is defined with you once, tied back to the source systems, and checked by agents before anyone makes a decision on it.

Questions

What owners ask us.

Do we have to replace our field service software?

No. Keep any tool you like, and we connect it on day one. Your field service platform can stay exactly where it is while we build the board, scorecards, and follow-up around it. If you later decide to retire something above the compliance line, we replace it with software built for how your company works.

What stays below the compliance line for a trades company?

Payroll and payroll tax, your books of record, sales and use tax filings, card processing, and banking. We don’t replace those systems. We read from them, and where they offer a write API, approved entries and invoices are written straight back in. Every write is approved by a person and logged.

Will our technicians have to learn a new app?

Only if you want them to. Techs can keep working in the tools they use today while the brain reads their jobs, time, and tickets. When we build something for the field, it’s shaped around how your techs work in a driveway or an attic, not how software vendors think they should.

Can it handle multiple branches and trades?

Yes. Branches, trades, and service lines each get their own board and scorecards, and the owner sees them side by side on the same definitions. A tech who works across branches is measured once, on the work they actually did, and shared costs like dispatch and the warehouse are allocated the way you decide.

Who owns what you build?

You do. The system is yours, including the software we build above the compliance line and the data in it. We keep improving it with you, or you run it on your own. There is no lock-in, and nothing we build for you charges rent the way a per-seat subscription does.
